UI/UX Designer Remote

We are seeking an experienced designer with a solid understanding of UX to join our team on a contract basis. The designer must be fluent in Japanese and have a deep understanding of cultural nuances to ensure the design resonates with the target audience. The website will be colorful and designed to encourage signups and subsequent purchases.

Responsibilities:

• Design a user-friendly B2B ecommerce website that caters to the needs of senior citizens in Japan
• Create engaging, colorful visuals that encourage user signups and purchases
• Work closely with our development team to ensure seamless design-to-development handover
• Conduct research to ensure the design aligns with the preferences and behavior of Japanese senior citizens
• Apply UX best practices to enhance user experience, accessibility, and ease of navigation

• Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)
• 3+ years of experience in web or ecommerce design, ideally in B2B or similar fields
• Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices
• Experience in designing websites that drive user signups and conversions
• Familiarity with designing for Japanese audiences and understanding of cultural nuances
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
