Regional Technical Engineer - Homewares/ Hardgoods/ Textile

Objectives of this position:
• Evaluate the supplier’s production and define the key points for verification to ensure that it aligned Lidl & Kaufland’s Sourcing Policies
• Ensure that mass production product is aligned as Lidl& Kaufland’s Standard, requirement,
• Drive the most cost effective, quality controlled on time product and production through key building blocks like capability and capacity plans, top defect analysis and training and factory improvement plans

What will you do?
• Ensure all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies
• Ensure programs & policies are in place to provide the safest working environment attainable
• Use continuous improvement methods to identify and implement product and process im-provement projects in strategic factories; while achieving KPI’s in quality, cost, service, and safety
• Set up SOP’s and process re-engineering to improve the different processes in agreed stra-tegic factories.
• Train/Educate the factory responsible person and our QC to adopt new changes in the guide-lines, SOP or any special instructions to ensure implementation.
• Support the continuous build of capability and capacity plans across active factories to sup-port right product right factory placements each Selection
• Assess utilization of Man, Machine & Method (3M) of core strategic factories and visualise benefits to factory and product, including any cost benefit
• Analyze productivity and improve the system by implementing kaizen and innovation in the process for core strategic factories
• Fostering Lean culture and application to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity and reduce wastes.
• Working closely with the factories to create awareness on top defects, identify it’s root cause with corrective & preventive action plan for quality improvement.
• Take initiative for top defect improvement project to achieve the KPI target based on selec-tion wise defects summary.
• Carry out risk assessment on all products in alignment with QA prior to any pre-production meetings
• Attend meetings for all high risk products

• Pre-visit with Sourcing team / MD team to carry out new Supplier Quality Evaluation as as-signment.
• Conduct Factory Quality Audit (FTE) in case direct Manager’s assignment.
• Review and verify new development sample before create Product Pass/ Tech pack at CBX.
• Co-operate with QA team to manage all concerned issues during sample processes, testing processes, mass production’s processes.
• Investigate the issues concerned to quality claim, complaints as the requirement from head office.

What will you need?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Process, Textiles)
• 3+ year’s relevant manufacturing experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
• As an innovative leader, have initiative and excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects of varying complexity
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Demonstrated ability to effectively assist production floor personnel in resolving technical is-sues
• Possess good judgment as it relates to creative ideas with the ability to manage the creative process with others.
