Technical Manager

Site Survey, Engineering & Design:
Support project team with regards to site survey, concept to detail design (mainly electrical), technical insights, advise on key equipment selection, and etc.
Perform technical due diligence on potential projects
Build and maintain relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, and other technical partners
Support and advise site team during the construction, commissioning and testing stage of the project
Review and advise on design and technical issues
Evaluate and optimize technology options for the projects:
Study, evaluate and optimize solar and BESS system and advise on BOS components suitable for the project
Evaluate and optimize the plant layout for better Energy Yield Assessment and plant maintainability
Ensure that the plant meets all grid code requirements for the region or complies with any best industry practice for grid support
Review and approve manufacturer/ contractor/ vendor techno–commercial offer:
Should be able to review the offers from key component supplier and preparing comparative statement
Advise on technical terms of the EPC contract and other subcontract offers

At least 4 years of experience in renewable energy industry
Rooftop solar experience is a must
Site experience is a plus
Experience with developer or engineering consulting business is a plus
Experience in the battery energy storage sector is a strong plus
Bachelor Degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related major
Proficiency in using PVSYST, AutoCAD or other solar power design software
English or Chinese: strong in written and spoken
