Responsibilities• We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of functional safety standards and practices, particularly in the automotive or industrial sectors. This role involves providing expert advice, developing safety strategies, and supporting the implementation of safety-critical projects.• Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses for systems and components.• Develop and review safety plans, safety cases, and safety requirements.• Provide expert advice on functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and others.• Support the design and implementation of safety-critical systems.• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.• Conduct safety audits and assessments to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.• Stay updated on industry developments and emerging safety technologies.• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and management.

Must have:• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in functional safety or a related field.• Strong understanding of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Strong communication and presentation skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Nice to have: • Master’s degree in a related field.• Experience with safety-critical systems in the automotive or industrial sectors.• Certification in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer).• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
