Remote Data Engineer

About this opportunity:
We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to work full-time during US business hours (evening/night hours in Vietnam time). You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting our client's digital finance platform operations.
You will:
Develop and maintain data pipelines that process millions of financial transactions daily
Monitor and optimize database performance and data flow architecture
Implement data quality checks and resolve data integrity issues
Collaborate with US-based client teams for real-time problem solving
Create and maintain documentation for data systems and processes
Provide operational support during US business hours
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues during critical processing windows
Design and implement data models that support financial reporting and analytics

Your Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
3+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala preferred)
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Financial services industry experience preferred
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently during US time zone hours
