Department: Secondary and High School Education Reports To: Head of Secondary & High School CIP Role Overview:
The Secondary and High School Vietnamese Coordinator oversees the effective delivery of the Vietnamese curriculum, and supporting teachers in both academic and pastoral roles. This role involves ensuring alignment with DOET standards and the school's educational objectives. The role involves leading teachers, managing parent communication, and fostering cultural and professional growth within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Mentorship:
a. Guide and mentor Vietnamese teachers in secondary and high school, ensuring professional growth both academically and from a pastoral perspective, ensuring adherence to school policies.
b. Conduct regular meetings to discuss challenges, share best practices, and evaluate teaching quality.
c. Promote collaboration between Vietnamese and international staff.
d. Provide guidance and training to Vietnamese homeroom teachers in issues of best practice as it relates to their duty as a homeroom teacher
2. Curriculum and Compliance:
a. Ensure the Vietnamese curriculum aligns with national and school standards, facilitating improvements in teaching practices and learning outcomes.
b. Monitor and enforce compliance with DOET and school requirements.
3. Parent Communication and Student Welfare:
a. Oversee parent communication through Bloomz, ensuring timely and professional updates on student progress and behavior.
b. Support teachers in using Bloomz as the primary communication platform for secondary and high school levels.
c. Collaborate with teachers and parents to address academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns regarding students.
4. Administrative Duties and Reporting:
a. Supervise administrative responsibilities such as attendance tracking and maintaining accurate student records.
b. Submit periodic reports to the Head of Secondary & High School, detailing departmental performance and student progress.
5. Cross-Cultural Collaboration:
a. Foster respect for Vietnamese and international cultural perspectives, creating a harmonious learning environment.
b. Encourage teachers to improve their English skills and use English as a communication medium when necessary.

Yêu cầu
• Bachelor’s degree in an Education-related field.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching at the secondary or high school level.
• Proven leadership experience, such as department head or coordinator is preferable.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Preferred: Proficiency in English.
